<iframe width="640" height="385" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/8Jnd5HjyO2w?fs=1&start=" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

KEVIN HUERTER
Maryland
Height: 6'7" | Weight: 195 | Age: 19
Stats: 14.8 PPG, 3.4 APG, 41.7% 3FG

Spoiler  :
B/R: 20º MIN (SF). No team averaged fewer three-point makes per game this past season than the Wolves. Arguably the combine's biggest riser, Huerter is one of the draft's top shooters, but he's also a multidimensional wing for his underrated playmaking ability.

SI: 21º UTA (SG). As we reported last week, the belief around the league is that Huerter obtained the first-round promise he was seeking at the combine before opting to remain in the draft. Based on our conversations with teams, signs point to Utah having offered the guarantee. It remains highly possible Huerter is drafted among the first 20 picks, but this spot appears to be his floor. He put on an outstanding display at the combine to solidify his draft stock, making quick decisions, slick passes and open threes while playing with an injured finger in his shooting hand before shutting it down on day two. His size, shooting stroke and ability to make difficult shots off the catch and dribble are high-level traits for a two-guard, and have earned him first-round security

SBNation: 26º PHI (G). Huerter was one of the big winners of the combine. He’s a 6’8 guard who can handle and pass a bit while also being one of the top shooters in the draft. The Sixers need all of the shooting and playmaking around Ben Simmons they can get.

Tankathon: 25º LAL (SG).
Strengths: EFG% (3), TS% (2), FG% (2), 3P% (1), Ast (1), Blk (1).
Weaknesses: Steals (3), Wingspan (3), Points (1), Turnovers (1), PER (1), FTA Rate (1).

DE'ANTHONY MELTON
USC
Height: 6'3" | Weight: 190 | Age: 20
Stats (2016–17): 8.3 PPG, 3.5 APG, 1.9 SPG

Spoiler  :
B/R: 25º LAL (PG/SG). Melton missed the season due to FBI investigation ties, but his play at the combine should have reassured teams that he has kept in shape and worked on his jumper. A two-way combo guard, Melton should carve out a role with his offensive versatility and defensive pressure. He's on steal watch depending on how much progress he makes as a shooter.

SI: 25º LAL (G). Despite sitting out the season in the fallout of USC’s involvement in the FBI’s college basketball investigation, Melton has kept himself in the mix for a first-round selection through interviews and play at the combine. He has long arms, active hands and a knack for forcing mistakes on the defensive end, and has a good sense of how to play in transition. Melton isn’t very good at finding ways to score in the halfcourt right now and isn’t really a point guard, but his jump shot looked much better than expected, which should be a major help to his draft range. He gives the Lakers another defensive option, and could make sense next to Lonzo Ball.

Tankathon: 42º DET (PG/SG).
Strengths: Blk (4), Stl (3), Def box (3), Ast (3), FTA (2), Off Reb (1), Wingspan (1), Rebs (1).
Weaknesses: Points (3), 3P% (3), Fouls (2), Win shares (2), EFG% (2), TS% (1), FT% (1), PER (1), FG% (1).

ZHAIRE SMITH
Texas Tech
Height: 6'4" | Weight: 195 | Age: 19
Stats: 11.3 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 55.6% FG

Spoiler  :
B/R: 17º MIL (SG/SF). The Bucks can overlook Smith's lack of production since his age, athleticism, raw defensive ability and flashes of shooting and passing suggest there is more to come. He would work from either wing position, though the goal would be for him to play 2-guard once his jumper improves and handle tightens.

HoopsHype: 15º WAS (SG). The Wizards have done fairly well in this range in the draft, having landed a gem in Kelly Oubre with the 15th pick a few seasons ago. Zhaire brings a similar level of freakish athleticism, outside shooting promise but rawness as well. Zhaire gives the backcourt tandem of John Wall and Bradley Beal some valuable depth and figures to go somewhere in this range on draft night.

SI: 17º MIL (SG). The Bucks have been no stranger to taking chances in recent years, and Smith would qualify. Viewed as one of the draft’s bigger home-run swings, he’s a jaw-dropping athlete without much of a résumé. Smith competes defensively and certainly passes the eye test, but has shown little to no ability to generate his own offense. He could become a high-flying two-way contributor or he could flame out quickly. Regardless, whoever drafts him will need to be patient. It’s worth considering he measured at just under 6'3" in shoes at the combine, which makes him much harder to picture playing at small forward, which is viewed by some as his natural position.

SBNation: 17º MIL (G). Smith might be the most athletic player in the draft. He only measured at 6’4 at the combine, but he’s a two-way force who could just be scratching the surface of his talent level. Smith was barely a top 300 recruit out of high school and immediately turned into one of the most valuable players in college hoops as a freshman for a Texas Tech team that reached the Elite Eight. He could be a high-upside steal at this point for the Bucks.

Tankathon: 16º PHO (SG).
Strengths: FG% (4), Blk (4), Def Box (4), Off Reb (3), TOs (2), 3P% (2), Wingspan (2), EFG% (2), FTA (1), TS% (1), Rebs (1).
Weaknesses: NBA 3P% (2), Pts (2), Asts (1), FT% (1), Def Reb (1).

ROBERT WILLIAMS
Texas A&M
Height: 6'9" | Weight: 240 | Age: 20
Stats: 10.4 PPG, 9.2 RPG, 2.6 BPG

Spoiler  :
B/R: 13º LAC (C). After taking a guard, the Clippers should address their frontcourt with Williams, who can replace DeAndre Jordan by bringing similarly elite athleticism to the center spot. Even if his offensive skills never take off, Williams has the chance to follow in the footsteps of Jordan and Clint Capela as impact centers due to their finishing, rebounding and defense.

HoopsHype: 14º DEN (PF). The Nuggets traded away the pick last year that became Donovan Mitchell, which will be a tough pill to swallow as Mitchell continues to blossom into one of the games elite point guards. But in fairness, going into the draft he looked awfully similar to two players already on Denver’s roster in Jamal Murray and Gary Harris. Williams offers a team with a Unicorn of their own (Nikola Jokic) an excellent complimentary player due to his extreme athleticism and ability to adroitly convert lobs a la Clint Capela. If Williams reputation for not playing hard at all times is just a phase in college, watch out, as he’s got some of the most extreme athletic tools that you could ask for.

SI: 14º DEN (C). The Nuggets are facing some short-term pressure to get over the hump and into the playoffs, but there also may not be much immediate help worth reaching for at 14. This could be a spot where it makes sense for them to trade down in the draft. Williams drew some scrutiny from teams after skipping the combine entirely, and as we reported has changed agencies during the predraft process, an unusual decision for a player of his caliber. Teams see a potential starting center in Williams, but have doubts as to whether he’ll tap into his full potential. He’s a big-time athlete and natural fit into a rim-running, energy role if he can up his effort more consistently. As someone who doesn’t need heavy touches, he could thrive playing off of Nikola Jokic along the baseline and help clean up misses and protect the basket. Williams can be frustrating, but he’s physically ready for the league and with the right level of nurture and growth could provide a lot of value in this range.

SBNation: 15º WAS (C). The Wizards need some youth and athleticism in the front court. Williams is an ideal fit. He’s a long and bouncy center who can run the floor, catch lobs and block shots. He has the type of game Clint Capela has helped make trendy for modern centers. The fact that he had an awkward fit at Texas A&M next to another traditional center in Tyler Davis means he could be much better as a pro than he was in college.

Tankathon: 13º LAC (C/PF).
Strengths: FG% (3), Def Reb (3), Blk (3), EFG% (3), Reb (2), Wingspan (2), TS% (1).
Weaknesses: 3P% (4), FT% (4), Pts (1), FTA (1).

MITCHELL ROBINSON
Chalmette HS (LA)
Height: 6'11" | Weight: 230 | Age: 20
Stats (2016–17 HS): 25.7 PPG, 12.6 RPG, 6.0 BPG

Spoiler  :
B/R: 30º ATL (C). Robinson could be a lottery talent waiting in the late first round after skipping both college and the NBA combine. Physically and athletically, he's an A-plus. The challenge is assessing his skill level and feel for the game at both ends of the floor.

HoopsHype: 25º LAL (C). Word out of Laker land is that the team is targeting defense with this pick. The second rumored promise that we have heard coming out of the Chicago predraft camp is that the Lakers have promised Mitchell Robinson, which could explain his decision not to participate in predraft activities. Robinson made an odd decision to not play this past season after his first surprising decision to commit to Western Kentucky. If he is able to find a first round team to bite, the gamble to hide instead of playing this season will pay off.

SI: 29º BRK (C). While the Nets have last year’s first-rounder, Jarrett Allen in place at center, the organization’s MO has been stockpiling talent and trying to create value (they finally get their own first-rounders back starting in 2019). It’s wholly unclear what happens with Robinson at this stage, but on raw ability most scouts believe he should be a first-rounder. There were rumors he may have secured a promise after withdrawing from the combine, but given he worked out in private for a chunk of the league last week in the Los Angeles area, that seems unlikely. The more feasible scenario is that his camp wanted to avoid putting him through interview process after a questionable series of decisions that led to his exit from Western Kentucky. He has the ability to become a force as a rim-running, shot-blocking center, but teams will have to feel comfortable assuming the risk, which is somewhat mitigated in this part of the draft. Robinson may have the widest range of any player available.

SBNation: 25º LAL (C). Mitchell is rumored to have a promise from the Lakers. He’s an ultra athletic 7-footer who projects as a shot blocker and rim runner in the vein of Hassan Whiteside. The McDonald’s All-American was headed to Western Kentucky until he left school and decided to train for the draft all year.

Tankathon: 27º BOS (C).
Strengths: -
Weaknesses: -
